Aim

The aim of the project is to generate power from water using dynamo.

Problem statement
Material used

DC Motor with propeller (used as dynamo)  
Brain: TinkerSpace Brain Board
Output:White LED.
Battery: 5V Lithium-ion rechargeable battery

Component description
DC MOTOR

The function of DC motor is to refer to any rotary electrical machine that converts direct current electrical energy into mechanical energy.. 

WHITE LED

The function of the WHITE LED  is to emit the light.

TinkerSpace Brain Board

TinkerSpace board acts as brain of this project, its function is to monitor DC Motor and control the White LED.

Battery

5V Lithium-Ion battery is used to power-up this project

Working description

When the propeller rotates by the water, it makes the dynamo DC motor produce electricity. This electrical energy lights up the white LED, showing that the propeller’s mechanical motion can generate electrical energy and power the light. It’s like a simple way of converting movement into light.

NOTE: DC motor is the device which converts electrical energy to mechanical energy. Dynamo is the device which converts mechanical energy to electric energy.

Circuit Design (DesignSpace)

Step 1: Open TCode App -> Create New project -> Open DesignSpace

Step 2: Connect the DC Motor  to INPUT  of the Brain board.

Step 3: Connect White LED to Output 1 of the Brain Board.

Step 4: Connect supply and test project.
