Rain-Activated Car Cover

Aim

To create a cover that automatically protects a vehicle when it rains.

Problem statement

Design an innovative rain-activated car cover that automatically deploys and covers the entire vehicle when it detects rain, providing efficient protection against precipitation, UV rays, and environmental elements.

Material used

Input: Rain Sensor
Brain: TinkerSpace Brain Board
Output: Servo motor
Battery: 5V Lithium-ion rechargeable battery

Component description
Rain Sensor

The function of Rain Sensor is to detect rain

Servo Motor

Servo motor is used to open and close the car shelter when it is raining.

TinkerSpace Brain Board

TinkerSpace board acts as brain of this project, its function is tis to monitor Rain Sensor and Servo motor.

Battery

5V Lithium-Ion battery is used to power-up this project

Working description

Case 1: When the rain is detected, Rain  sensor turns ON and sends the signal to the Tinkerspace Brain Board. The brain board oscilates the servo motor to 0 Degree.

Case 2: When the rain is not detected, Rain  sensor turns OFF and sends the signal to the Tinkerspace Brain Board. The brain board oscilates the servo motor to 90 Degree.

Circuit Design (DesignSpace)

Step 1: Connect Rain Sensor to input 1

Step 2: Connect SERVO MOTOR  to output 1

Step 3: Connect supply and test project.
